man, you guys just cant understand its a collectors truck...

heres my post from the same topic awhile back ago....

heh...

ok.. here we go...

1. This is a FL truck... part of FAST....we have 2 marlboros in our club
2. This is mikes of atomic rooster autosports (www.arautosports.com) dad's/brother's truck.
3. They dont drive it.
4. Pics dont do it justice...this truck is f%ckin flawless.

Like mentioned, this is 1 of only 10 syclones produced.

The Marlboro Syclone was done as a promotion gimmick by Marlboro Cigarettes back in 1991. They purchased 10 Syclones to raffle off in a contest and with the help of Corvette and Mustang Designer, Larry Shinoda, added a Targa Style T-top, Recaro seats fitted with Simpson 5-Point racing harness seat belts, CD Changer, Guidon Truck Covers Fiberglass tonneau cover, C.R. Laurence Co. Electric slide rear window, Custom MoMo "Evolution" steering wheel, Borla Exhaust, Custom door panels, Boyd "Cobra" Billet Rims, Upgraded PROMPaq , PPG "Hot Licks" Red paint, Graphik Concepts custom Marlboro/Syclone graphics, Bell Tech Inc. Suspension, Sony stereo system, and Goodyear Eagle GS-C tires.

I actually have the names, phone numbers, and addresses to the ORIGINAL WINNERS of the trucks.

These trucks dont change hands very often, but when they do, trust me, its documented....a few of the trucks already have had 4-5 owners. There are a few select people who keep very close tabs on the trucks.....

unforetunately, we only know positively where 9 of the 10 trucks are.

As for the $100+k price..... yes, its accurate.

A few of the Marlboros have been appraised and come in at around $107,000 average for a very clean Marlboro. Also remember, Larry Shinoda played a big part in making the truck....his designs dont come cheap and most of his cars hes worked on arent cheap POSs...

This isnt just another syclone, its a special collectors edition and will never be produced again....

its like getting a 69 yenko camaro... your gonna pay big a$$ bucks cause there isnt many original around anymore.

ive been fortunate (or blessed?) to be able to drive a marlboro....and yes, peoples jaws do drop....

its a gorgeous truck for those who appreciate what it is and the value of it.... most people cant accept the fact is valued at around $100,000 ..

"$100,000 FOR A RED PICKUP TRUCK?!?!?!"

yep, better believe it.

obviously, the marlboro on ebay isnt trying to attract the average syty owner or car enthusiasts.... its specificly for those tim allens and jay lenos out there who would like to add to their collection of many.... the price showing is pretty accurate....

would i pay $100,000 for a marlboro...?
without a doubt if my budget could handle it.....and no it cant...probably never will....

and yes, i was there when the marlboros got rained on.... and yes, i saw the mess one of the heater cores made when one of them busted in the marty's marlboro going down the track...

yes, 2 marlboros valued at $100,000+ went down the track together for the first time ever in 1999.

yes, the finishing match will go on again this year at the nationals 2002 in chicago.. www.sytynationals.com

i still have to say... driving the marl was cool..... driving the PPG Syclone will forever be top of my list. heh...

I have no doubt that they actually are worth that, but he shouldnt expect that much from Ebay, needs to put it up in the Dupont registry
