Sounds good TECH. I know how good it feels to transition from the planning stages to actually ordering the parts.

Here's hoping to a speedy and trouble-light completion (We all know there's no such thing as trouble-free).

Bare vortec heads aren't very expensive. Are you going to have them ported and polished? (Once you're sure you have a good set, obviously).

Cool

he already call to tell me that he's got one for me. now just trying to plug #'s into this dyno program. I don't remember what the stock valve sizes were on these heads. I think its 1.54 in/1.9 exh. will have to do a search.
have fun at the Texas meet.

(edit) found out I had the #'s backwards for the valves.found some flow #'s and here's what I came up w/@the fly
max HP-315@5500R's
max TQ-345@4000R's
this is based on a 500CFM tbi, small tube headers w/mufflers and Comp 266 cam w/10:1 comp.
If I left anything out let me know.

Stock valves are 1.94/1.5. The big valve is the intake.

Sounds good, just need to minus 20% off those numbers from desktop dyno and you will have a close number to what the actual power output will bem subtract another 15% and you can get a goo estmate for RWHP.
