i would run a solenoid. they are like 9 bucks at auto parts. one main wire from battery to solenoid. then a wire from a hot when key is on acc source. then a wire from solenoid to seats. the solenoid is nice because you can hook up other toys and not worry about drawing to much power through the fuse box. Like compressors, bottle heaters, switches.

what color seats you get?
been watching ebay for a deal on black or gray leather for my truck

I would expect the wiring for power seats to be there already (or at least it is on other GM models) check under your seats and see if there is a small wiring harness sticking up through the carpet. if there is, it should just plug in.

EDIT--
now that I think of it, do any of the pickups have power seats??
or is it just blazers??

i have my carpet out right now and the only wires by my seats are for the seatbelt. i dont think the trucks come with wires ready to go. it would be nice. mines a 96 maybe they changed something since then in the trucks.

If you have the seats that are heated as well as power do you have to run another wired to a switched source?

in your case you would probably use the supplied wires. you probably wouldnt have the heated seats unless the new seats have it. i believe the functions are self contained meaning the controls for seat movement are not on the door panel or armrest. so they just need a + and -, which you already have
